Centro Coffee: Where History Meets Your Daily Brew

Tucked away in a charming 165-year-old house at Bale Herencia, right in the heart of Angeles City, Centro Coffee feels like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. It’s a perfect blend of old and new, with its vintage charm and modern touches. Being so close to Holy Angel University with its spacious setup, complete with a second floor and parking makes it a great spot for anyone that wants to chill, catch up with friends, or even sneak in some study time. They are  open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, with extended hours until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. A green and calm environment as well as their variety of coffee and food is something worth coming for, ranging from their signature coffees, all day breakfast meals that offer unlimited rice, and other foods and beverages.

Centro’ Coffee Shop is located at 291 A Bale Herencia Sto. Rosario St. corner Lakandula St., Angeles City, Philippines, 2009. It is inside a historic house that shows Kapampangan heritage and traditional architecture. The location is easy to find and is close to well-known landmarks, making it convenient for visitors.

The coffee shop has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place for students, families, and friends to hang out or study. It is cozy and spacious, offering enough room for groups or individuals. The mix of old-style charm and modern design makes the space unique and inviting. The relaxing vibe helps customers feel at home while enjoying their drinks and food.

They offer different drinks, coffee, non-coffee, refreshments, etc. and also appetizers like pasta, pizza, sandwiches, rice meals, etc. Their drinks have unique names and offerings, especially the refreshments like cascara tea—a fruity, floral beverage made by steeping the dried skins of coffee cherries in hot water, offering a unique taste between black tea and hibiscus tea. Their matcha series is also popular because it is authentic. The chicken pesto pasta is a recommended item on their pasta menu because it is a creamy and flavorful meal. While their rice meals are available, they may not be the best option for those looking for quicker service or standout flavors. Overall, the drinks and food they offer are student-price friendly and worth trying.

They have free Wi-Fi and entertainment options such as card games (like Uno) and Jenga, among other things. They also provide free water, and there's no time limit at the coffee shop. The staff is very accommodating and provides fast service for drinks; however, rice meals take a while to be served. They also play good music that many people seem to enjoy. However, during our visit, the coffee shop was a bit noisy due to the presence of students, and we didn't find it ideal for studying, unless using headphones or a headset.

Visit Centro’ Coffee Shop during off-peak hours, such as weekday mornings or early afternoons, if you prefer a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. These times are ideal for those who want to relax or focus on studying. Avoid visiting during busy hours, like late afternoons or weekends, as the place can get noisy due to the presence of students.

For first-timers, we recommend trying their Biscoff Foam, a signature drink that offers a delightful balance of sweetness and creaminess. Their unique refreshments, like cascara tea, and the authentic matcha series are also worth trying for a unique experience. On the food menu, the chicken pesto pasta is a standout for its creamy and flavorful taste.

Take advantage of the coffee shop's Instagrammable interiors, especially the cozy corners and the areas that highlight the Kapampangan heritage design. The historic architecture combined with modern elements makes for stunning and shareable photos. Capture your drinks or food in the beautifully designed spaces to elevate your posts online!

This place has historical and modern comfort - perfect to stay in to study, relax, or catch up on friends. Special drinks, good food, and an inviting atmosphere always make anyone feel welcome. You may find yourself smitten by the interior charm, the famous drinks, or the relaxing environment that is waiting for you. Try it out yourself-you may find a new favorite coffee in Angeles City!
